Mikel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. He attended Upper Iowa University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management. Mikel served in the Air Force National Guard as an F-16 mechanic and is a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Originally from Denver, Iowa, Mikel moved to Independence in 2012 where he resides with his wife Nicole and two daughters. He enjoys spending time with family, running with friends, and working out. Mikel has completed many marathons, competed in Ironman Wisconsin (a 140.6 mile triathlon), and ran a few ultramarathon trail races with his farthest distance being 100 miles.
